I'm Dan. I practice workers' compensation law in Minneapolis, and a professional habit comes with that: before I rely on anyone, I check the license and I check the record. Most Minnesotans about to make the largest transaction of their lives never do either, not because they don't care, but because the records are scattered across systems nobody has heard of.

MN Agent Buddy puts the public record one search away: the Minnesota Department of Commerce's enforcement actions against real estate licensees, with the Department's own order documents linked, and license lookups built on government registries. Where the state publishes no bulk data (the salesperson and broker roster), we have a standing Minnesota Government Data Practices Act request in with Commerce, and we say plainly what we have and what we are still waiting on.

Three commitments. First, lookups here are anonymous: we never store what you search or who you check, period. Second, every fact cites a named public source with the date we last checked it; when our copy and the government's page disagree, the government's page controls. Third, the record is never for sale: no one can pay to change, hide, or polish what their public record shows here.

About money, plainly: If featured agents ever appear on this site, they pay a flat advertising fee. We receive nothing from your transaction: no agent pays us per client, per referral, or per closing, because Minnesota law reserves referral fees for licensed brokers and we are not one. Details in the privacy policy.

One naming note. You will not see the word that rhymes with “kneel-tor” in our branding: it is a trademark of the National Association of REALTORS and describes membership in that association, not a license. This site is about the license and the public record, which belong to everyone.
