Check your agent
Search by name. We check two public records at once: the Minnesota Department of Commerce's enforcement actions against real estate licensees (2010 to now), and the state-credentialed appraiser registry. Searches are anonymous and never stored.
Checking a salesperson or broker's license status
Commerce publishes no bulk roster of salesperson and broker licenses, so live status checks for those license types happen on the state's own lookup. We have a standing Minnesota Government Data Practices Act request in with Commerce for the full licensee dataset; when it arrives, status checks will happen right here. Until then:
- Open the state's license search at pulseportal.com.
- Choose Minnesota Department of Commerce as the program and Real Estate as the board.
- Click Search Licensee, enter the last and first name, and check that the license shows Active and the type you expect (salesperson or broker).
- Then search the same name in the enforcement box above; a clean license can still have an order history.
